MeAI — AI Playground for Kids 6–16 in Africa
MeAI is an interactive AI playground where kids aged 6–16 across Africa build their own real,
hands-on projects — app development, game design, coding, machine learning and Python — through
adventure quests powered by African storytelling.
What Kids Learn on Meaitech
Comic-style lessons explain how AI thinks, interactive quests teach data and pattern recognition,
the ML Studio lets kids train image and text classifiers, and hands-on projects let them build
working AI apps — no prior coding experience required.
How It Works
Kids pick an interactive comic lesson, watch the story, answer quizzes, and complete hands-on
activities. Along the way they earn XP points, badges, and certificates while progressing through
more than 30 lessons covering artificial intelligence, machine learning, and Python programming
fundamentals — no prior coding experience required to get started.
Built Around African Storytelling
Unlike most coding platforms, Meaitech teaches AI concepts through African-inspired characters and
quests set in a savanna world. Kids meet the NIA AI companion and a cast of ranger guides as they
learn how computers recognize patterns, train machine learning models, and make decisions —
explained in age-appropriate language for learners aged 6 to 14.
For Parents and Educators
Meaitech is free to start and designed to be safe for children. Parents can monitor their child's
learning journey, and educators get a dashboard to manage classrooms, assign lessons, and track
student progress and achievement across schools and community programs across Africa and beyond.
